Dear Famalay,
We are at the dawning of a new year and have left behind us a year that was extraordinary and eventful for all of us. As we prepare for 2024 I would like to take this opportunity to pause, reflect and express my gratitude.
The past year was a time of great challenges both professional and personal for many of us. We experienced deep sadness, but also saw new hope and possibilities.
The year was marked by important developments and progress. A particular focus for us, was on working on creating a friendly, fun, informative and enlightening gathering space for our "peeps". This task offered us many exciting challenges and learning opportunities. We are pleased that we've "managed" most of those challenges and can now look forward to continuing this work in the coming year.
A key highlight of the year was our decision to shutter CalabashAlley.com "De Alley" and reconstitute the community under a different name and re-tooled platform. We hope this decision will significantly help grow our community and enable us to open up new avenues, and present you with an even more diverse and powerful range of news, information, talents and events.
Although much of our roadmap is still a work in progress, we are confident that we will make significant in-roads in this direction in 2024.
In these times of change, we would like to thank you, our loyal, beloved Famalay community members, especially all "De Alley Pioneers", for your support and for joining us on this journey. You have been with us right out the gate. Your loyalty is invaluable to us and encourages us to continually do our best. We look forward to having you with us as we continually grow and improve and launch this new platform.
As we look ahead to the new year, we are excited and full of hope and confidence. We are ready to accept and take advantage of the challenges and opportunities that 2024 has in store for us.
Finally, we wish you and your loved ones a happy, healthy and successful New Year. May 2024 be a year full of joy, success, excellent health and personal growth for all of us.
Warmest greetings and best wishes for 2024!
