American Airlines blames 9-year-old girl for being filmed in plane bathroom: ‘Shocking and outrageous’🤯

American Airlines, facing lawsuits after a flight attendant allegedly filmed girls using plane bathrooms, is blaming a 9-year-old girl for being secretly recorded.

The airline in a new court filing is arguing that the young girl should have known that the airplane toilet contained a recording device.

Estes Carter Thompson III, 36, of Charlotte, N.C., also allegedly had recordings of four other girl passengers using airplane lavatories — including the 9-year-old girl, who’s from Texas and was flying with her family to go to Disneyland. Thompson is accused of recording multiple girls by taping his phone to plane toilet seats.

"Defendant would show that any injuries or illnesses alleged to have been sustained by Plaintiff, Mary Doe, were proximately caused by Plaintiff’s own fault and negligence," AA said. "She knew or should have known contained a visible and illuminated recording device."

Thompson is accused of having videos of girls aged 7, 9, 11 and 14.

Police remain optimistic that kidnap victim Anisha Hosein who was snatched outside her family's Sauces Doubles business place in El Dorado will be found alive.

Sources say that police have intensified their search for the missing mother after she was kidnapped on Saturday morning and her husband shot in the face by the attackers.

Reports indicate that police are searching an undisclosed forested area in the North East.

HEAD of the police Specialized Support Division ACP Wayne Mystar says a ransom demand has been made for kidnapped doubles vendor Anisha Hosein.

Hosein was grabbed on May 18 by armed men and forced into a silver Nissan B15.

The car was found abandoned several hours later in Maracas, St Joseph.

Mystar said the family received the ransom demand and is now negotiating with the kidnappers.

The reason for the kidnapping has yet to be determined although speculations run rampant is that is is an extortion scheme while others suggest it's an internal family feud

"British national Peter Smith is back on his feet again after surviving a shark attack in Tobago on April 26.

This was confirmed by Tobago House of Assembly (THA) Chief Secretary Farley Augustine, who was speaking with members of the media at the swearing-in ceremony for THA Deputy Presiding Officer Terance Baynes yesterday.

The 64-year-old, who was a guest at the Starfish Resort, took what should have been his final swim before flying out of the country on that day. However, he was attacked by a bull shark.

Smith sustained severe injuries and his left hand and thigh were severed. There were also lacerations to his stomach, as well as tissue damage. The incident occurred about ten metres from the shoreline at Courland Bay.

The shark attack also triggered a series of events including the temporary closure of ten beaches on the island and a brief $10,000 bounty for the shark’s capture. The THA retracted the reward hours later.

Augustine explained that out of the tragic incident came an opportunity to retrain all stakeholders on how to respond to the threat of a shark. He also disclosed that the foreigner was doing well.

“He is walking again from the last communication we had with the family, and it showed that the local medical fraternity did extremely well to stabilise, to ensure that they saved limb and life,” he said.

Augustine added that the THA covered all medical attention provided to Smith in Tobago. The Tourism Agency also facilitated extended stay at the resort and covered transportation costs for Smith’s relatives to and from the hospital and airport. Meals were also included. However, he could not provide a total cost.

Nevertheless, Augustine reiterated that Smith’s insurance covered the expense of his air ambulance.

Smith underwent plastic surgery in Miami after being airlifted on April 30 for further medical attention."

The 27-year-old woman was said to have been setting up the outlet in El Dorado around 5.50 am when a white B15 with four men pulled up.

It is alleged three men exited and grabbed Hosein.

SUSPECT WHO KILLED POLICE OFFICER DETAINED

Ishmael Clarke 24, of Nelson Street, Port-of-Spain has been identified as the suspect who shot and killed police officer Dale Mayers at Unique Restaurant and Bar in Longdenville on Monday 13th May, 2024.

Clarke was detained whilst undergoing medical treatment for gunshot injuries at the Port-of-Spain General Hospital a short while ago.

A police officer was shot during a botched robbery at Unique Restaurant and Bar in Longdenville at approximately 11:00 PM on Monday May 13th

The victim was identified as officer Dale Mayers, who is attached to the Arima Police Station. He subsequently succumbed to his injuries while undergoing treatment at the Chaguanas Health Facility.

Neil Ballai, 55, of Eccles Trace in Spring Village, Valsayn died at the scene of the collision.

Almost 12 hours after the crash, at around 6 pm, Couva police got a tip-off and went to Preysal, where they found the black Hyundai Ioniq car abandoned on the roadside.

A HIGH COURT judge has ordered the Commissioner of Prisons to have three of six prisoners injured at the Port of Spain prison on March 26 appear before her at a virtual hearing on March 28.

They were taken to hospital after what prison authorities described as a "riot" on March 26 in which officers were also injured.

Justice Margaret Mohammed made the order on March 27 as she granted three writs of habeas corpus to the families of the three prisoners.

She ordered that the three "must be able to hear and see the proceedings" at Thursday's hearing.

Attorney Keron Ramkhalwhan, who represents Kerry Valentino, Ayokie Charles, and Ray Paul Julien, applied for the writs after the men’s families were unable to find out where they were.

The applications said it appeared the three had been removed from the Port of Spain General Hospital and “taken to a location unknown.”

In a release, acting Commissioner of Prisons Deopersad Ramoutar said Tuesday’s incident stemmed from a dispute between a prisoner and a prison officer around 11 am.

“It was reported that the inmate refused to obey lawful instructions to return to his cell. He became violent and uncontrollable.

However, the men’s writs disputes the prison authorities' account of what took place at the prison, on Frederick Street.

The men’s application accused prison officers of physically abusing an epileptic Muslim prisoner when another Muslim prisoner objected, leading to guards beating both of them. The two allegedly ran into a cell and everyone in that cell was beaten, stamped and kicked.

The application further contended the prisoners were beaten with a “brass knuckle,” leaving them “unable to walk and covered in blood.”
