POLICE TAKES OUT THREE WELL KNOWN RESISTANCE GANG MEMBERS IN CARONI

No 20199 Pc Seecharan in Marked Police vehicle registration number PEC 5729.
Facts: Around 4:40am on Sunday 11th August, 2024 the officers were on patrol proceeding in an easterly direction along the Caroni Savanah Road in the vicinity of the Caroni Cremation site when information was receieved of a white Nissan Almera bearing registration number HCH 2572 was conveying firearms.
The officers observed the White Nissan Almera heading east along the Caroni Savanah Road at a fast rate of speed on the Caroni Savanah Road. The officers engaged the siren and lights and attempted to stop the white Nissan Almera. Whilst attempting to stop the White nissan almera, same vehicle collided with the front left of the Marked Police Vehicle which was driven by No 16399 Pc Gangaram
Thereafter, two loud explosions were heard and flashes of lights were seen emanating from driver side of the white Nissan Almera, after which the white Nissan Almera ran off the Northern side of the roadway and two other loud explosions were heard. In keeping with the Use of Force Policy, all the occupants of PEC 5729 became fearful for their lives and No 16399 Pc GAngaram and 18909 Pc Karantasingn both exited the marked Police vehicle and returned fire. After which three persons were observed to be injured.
Seated in the driver seat of the white Nissan almera was Amir Bissoon alias "Pa" of Samaroo Lane Dookiesingh Street Extension St Augustine a known member of the Resistance Gang.
Also one Jodi Barath alias "Gia" seated in the front passenger seat.
In the left rear passenger seat was Joseph Ramjit of Kalpoo Street, Spring Village also affiliated with the Resistance Gang.
One black pistol was seen on the driver side the the white Nissan Almera.
Checks for made and damages were observed to marked Motor vehicle PEC 5729:
Dent to the front left fender
Three visible gunshot holes to the front of the vehicle
The said injured persons were conveyed to the Eric Willaims Medical Science Center by the St Joseph Cid and NCTF West and pronounced DOA at 5:14am by Dr. Balgobin.
