Well she place that on her page. I assume that was directed at him , but I don't know for sure but what I know is that on her page the Brian Manning issue went silent after the rebuke.
I didn't see the actual interchange between them, but it sure seems to be a response to the "rebuke"; just not enough "stones" to post it as a direct response..

THE SAGA, AND SUBSEQUENT FALLOUT CONTINUES AS NEWS MEDIA OUTLETS REPORT
"Two executive members resign as dispute between Manning and Alexis deepens"
Gail Alexander Senior Political Reporter Guardian Media
Two members of the People’s National Movement’s (PNM) San Fernando East constituency executive resigned yesterday, following the release of a statement on Thursday, in the executive’s name, criticising San Fernando East MP Brian Manning.
The resignations came even as PNM chairman Marvin Gonzales reiterated his warning against public infighting, saying he would personally remind the constituency executive to follow the party leadership’s guidance.
“The party will not respond to the San Fernando East statement. But my statement stands, and I’ll let them know personally,” Gonzales said yesterday.
The executive’s statement was issued in response to comments made by Manning on Tuesday, in which he expressed concern over what he described as inadequate action on issues raised by constituency members and conveyed to the party’s leadership. Some of those concerns involved constituency chairman Patricia Alexis.
Following Manning’s comments, Gonzales outlined steps being taken by the party to address the matter and urged all parties to refrain from engaging in public allegations and counter-allegations.
However, hours after Gonzales’ appeal, the San Fernando East executive released a statement defending Alexis and criticising Manning, including his performance as the constituency’s parliamentary representative.
Executive members resign
Yesterday, two of the executive’s 12 committee members tendered their resignations in letters addressed to constituency secretary Abigail Cox.
One member wrote: “Please accept my formal resignation from the post of committee member of the PNM San Fernando East Constituency Executive. I thank you and the other members of the Executive for welcoming me and for the invaluable experience gained during my tenure.”
The second stated: “With immediate effect, kindly accept my resignation as a committee member. I wish to thank the San Fernando East constituency for the opportunity to serve and for the invaluable experience.”
Efforts to contact Cox for comment were unsuccessful last evening.
However, sources familiar with the matter claimed that several executive members were upset because the statement on Thursday was issued without their knowledge or approval and that they only became aware of it after it had been released publicly.
Alexis did not respond to questions from Guardian Media regarding claims that executive members were not informed of the statement before its release or what action, if any, the executive had taken since.
Manning yesterday declined to comment on the resignations.
Meanwhile, Gonzales denied suggestions that the party leadership had instructed anyone to resign.
No-confidence motion reportedly fails
Earlier yesterday, Manning said he was informed of an unsuccessful attempt to bring a motion of no confidence against him during a meeting on Thursday night.
“I’m told it was shouted down by people and didn’t reach a vote,” he said.
The executive’s public statement followed shortly afterwards.
Alexis also did not respond yesterday to questions about the reported motion, or whether the executive intended to comply with Gonzales’ call to stop discussing the matter publicly.
Manning said he took particular exception to the executive’s statement referencing his deceased father, former prime minister and former San Fernando East MP Patrick Manning.
Calling for Alexis to be removed as chairman, Manning said the party leader had the authority to ask any constituency chairman to step aside.
“This issue could have been handled better. I’ve used every avenue within the party to bring these matters to the leadership. They were simply ignored,” he said.
Gonzales: “I’m disappointed”
Asked about the continued public exchanges despite his call for restraint earlier this week, Gonzales said he was dissatisfied with the situation.
“I’m very disappointed and disheartened,” he said.
“But my resolve remains unshaken. I’ll remind the parties of my statement and call upon them to immediately desist from public commentary on the matter, allow the authorised processes to take their course, and recognise that continued public engagement will damage both the constituency and the party.”
Former PNM general secretary Ashton Ford said yesterday that the dispute would not have escalated under previous party leaders.
“This wouldn’t have happened under other leaders. If this continues and the leadership doesn’t get up and act promptly, the PNM will be going down the road to disaster, with people doing their own thing,” Ford said.
“You can’t have Marvin as chairman saying one thing and people simply ignoring it.”
Ford said party officials needed to engage members directly rather than attempt to manage problems from a distance.
“They have to call people in and talk with them. That’s how we operated under Eric Williams’ training. But they’re staying in offices, giving instructions and thinking that suffices. It won’t.”
He added: “I’m seeing the whole place in disarray. I don’t know where it will end up. But PNMites like myself, Marilyn Gordon and others can’t sit around and watch the PNM disintegrate. We have to take action to protect the party.”
Le Hunte urges restraint
PNM treasurer Robert Le Hunte yesterday defended the party’s handling of the dispute and urged members to allow internal processes to work.
“Against that background, all members, regardless of the strength of their individual views, have a responsibility to respect the process and allow it to work,” he said.
“That responsibility applies equally to all sides. Once a matter has been placed before the party’s established organs and those processes are actively engaged, continued public exchanges risk shifting the focus from resolution to confrontation.”
Le Hunte said restraint was now in the best interests of the constituency, the individuals involved and the party.
“Mr Manning and Ms Alexis both hold important positions within the PNM. They are entitled, as is every member, to raise concerns through the party’s constitutional structures.
“Equally, having invoked those structures, there is a corresponding responsibility to respect the process and ultimately the decisions of the party’s appropriate organs.”
PNM Trincity party group 39 issues
Former PNM general secretary Ashton Ford yesterday alluded to issues in other PNM constituencies where executive elections are on.
He said a constituency was supposed to meet on Tuesday for their annual general meeting, they received instructions not to miss it, but it got cancelled “just so.”
PNM executive officials didn’t comment on the issue. But TG was informed that Party Group 39 in Trincity Maloney was due to have a meeting which was later cancelled due to issues with conducting the meeting. It resulted in the Group’s demand on Tuesday for refund of $2,540 which had been paid to the party as fees for new memberships.

Lemme take a DEEP BREATH before I continue...
because...
The Hutzpah, Hubris, disrespect and cognitive dissonance of this FOREIGN ENTITY... guests in OUR HOUSE is astounding!
"What yuh talking abou Pt. Sharo" you may ask...
Well here it is:
The Indian High Commission in Trinidad & Tobago decided to hold an event FOR INDIANS & INDIAN DISAPORA ONLY
ON THE VERY SAME DAY AS EMANCIPATION DAY! YES you read that correctly..
Firstly It's on Emancipation Day - was this a deliberate choice to undermine a major celebration for our people of African descent.. ah in yuh face - "we in charge now" shot across the bow?
Secondly - As Rhoda Bharath noted in a Social Media video, that kind of event that EXPLICITY excludes everyone except for one particular ethnic, religious group, etc is against our national policies.
Frankly, I think they KNOW that and decdided to do it anyway.. why.. because I think they know that the current government will give them a full pass on it, and who is to say the regime didn't "encourage" this to undermine a holiday so many in their base deem "a waste of time".
That was my first reaction when seeing this.
With that said - I must note that I DID NOT see the original post (it was deleted) - but Town Saying, besides promoting the event the post itself was racist!
What I have seen and do know is the following.
Alledgely the announcement was part of a post that was consdiered by some reading it as "racist"

I write as a citizen of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago and as a former Member of Parliament and Minister of Tourism, Culture and the Arts to express my profound disappointment regarding the decision of the High Commission of India in Port of Spain to schedule an “Open House for the Indian Community and Diaspora Members” on 1 August 2026, the very day on which Trinidad and Tobago commemorates African Emancipation Day.
This is not an ordinary national public holiday.
African Emancipation Day marks the abolition of slavery and the liberation of hundreds of thousands of enslaved Africans whose forced labour helped build this nation. It commemorates one of the darkest chapters in human history and honours the struggle, sacrifice and resilience of generations of people who were denied their freedom.
For many citizens, it is a solemn national observance before it is a celebration.
Diplomatic missions are expected to understand and respect the history, traditions and national commemorations of the countries to which they are accredited. That expectation is fundamental to diplomacy.
The issue is not that the High Commission wishes to engage members of the Indian diaspora. Every diplomatic mission has that right and responsibility.
The concern is that the event was scheduled on the one national holiday that carries unique historical and emotional significance for a large segment of the Trinidad and Tobago population.
There were 364 other days on which such an event could have been held without creating the appearance that the significance of African Emancipation Day was being overlooked or diminished.
Whether intentional or not, the decision demonstrates a serious lack of cultural awareness and sensitivity toward the host nation.
More troubling is the wider consequence that decisions such as this can have in a multicultural society like Trinidad and Tobago. Our nation has worked for generations to build mutual respect and understanding among people of African, Indian, Indigenous, Chinese, European, Syrian-Lebanese and other backgrounds. That harmony cannot be taken for granted. It must be protected through sensitivity, respect and good judgment—particularly by foreign diplomatic missions.
African Emancipation Day is one of the few national observances that calls upon all citizens to reflect on the enduring legacy of slavery and the importance of unity, dignity and justice. By choosing to host an official diaspora event on this solemn national day, the High Commission has unnecessarily introduced a source of division where there should have been national reflection. Diplomats have a duty not only to represent their own country but also to exercise sound judgment and respect for the history and sensitivities of the nation in which they serve. This decision falls well below that standard and risks undermining social cohesion in a multicultural society where racial harmony must never be taken for granted. It is precisely because of the seriousness of that risk that I believe this matter warrants immediate intervention by the Government of India.
India and Trinidad and Tobago share a long and meaningful friendship built over generations. That relationship deserves representatives who appreciate the history of both nations and who exercise sound diplomatic judgment in matters touching on national identity and historical remembrance.
When diplomatic representatives act in ways that unnecessarily offend the people of the country to which they are posted, confidence in that representation is undermined.

This request is not made in hostility toward India or toward the Indian community. In fact, I am equally rooted in Indian and African ancestry, alongside other elements of my heritage. Trinidad and Tobago is a multicultural nation whose strength lies in mutual respect among all peoples. That same respect must extend to the observance of each community’s defining moments in history.
Diplomatic representation carries with it not only privileges but also responsibilities. One of those responsibilities is to ensure that official actions do not diminish or appear indifferent to the national commemorations of the host country.
I trust that the Government of India will treat this matter with the seriousness it deserves and take appropriate steps to preserve the longstanding friendship between our two nations.
Respectfully,
Randall Mitchell

RHODA On Indian high commission .mp4
THEY CHANGED THE DATE, HOWEVER I HAVE NOT SEEN ANYTHING THAT COMES CLOSE TO AN APOLOGY IN ANY WAY SHAPE OF FORM.
WHETHER THE SCHEDULING WAS INTENTIONAL OR NOT - ON ITS FACE, IT WAS OFFENSIVE AND DISRESPECTFUL, AND A FOREIGN ENTITY SHOULD HAVE THE BASIC COMMON COURTESY TO APOLOGISE;
AND EVEN IF THE APOLOGY IS NOT AT ALL SINCERE, IT IS ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY .
MR. LARRY LALLA, SC COMMENTED ON THE LACK OF APOLOGY:
In my Opinon, Randall Mitchelll was quite gracious - he did not call for the removal of the Indian High Commissioner - Me I would have requested his IMMEDIATE RECALL, take his executive staff with him (since they didn't see it fit to NOT schedule this event on a significant national holiday) and have him never retrun to our shores, ever.
QuoteThe Emancipation Support Committee is considering asking India to withdraw its High Commissioner to Trinidad and Tobago, Dr Pradeep Singh Rajpurohit, after criticising the decision to schedule an Open House for members of the Indian community and diaspora on Emancipation Day.
Dr Asha Kambon, director of public education and communication at the committee, said the decision by the Indian High Commission was “very disappointing” and showed what she described as a lack of knowledge and understanding of the country to which the High Commissioner was assigned.
She said the matter went beyond the scheduling of an event and could affect the social cohesion that many have worked to build in Trinidad and Tobago.
“We were penning, and may still pen, that letter requesting his withdrawal because his insensitivity is significant, and it could indeed decrease the social cohesion in the society that many of us have struggled to build,” Kambon said.
MORE IMPORTANTLY there seems to be not one person in our government (not those with the reins or those in opposition) that have uttered a word about this
I HOPE TO GOD THEY (THE OPPOSITION LEADER & AMERY BROWN) ADDRESS THIS DIRECTLY BECAUSE
THIS IS YET ANOTHER EXAMPLE OF THE UTTER B.S. THAT PEOPLE ARE ON IN OUR COUNTRY AND THAT IS BEING ALLOWED TO JUST LET PASS...
IT IS ASTOUNDING.

Senator John-Bates Faces Removal From PAAC Amid Evidence Concerns
April 17, 2026 Terry-Ann Browne-Campbell
Opposition Senator Janelle John-Bates is expected to be replaced on the Public Administration and Appropriations Committee (PAAC).
The PAAC is currently making inquiries into the State’s acquisition of pharmaceuticals, particularly focusing on procurement by the Ministry of Health and National Insurance Property Development Company Limited (NIPDEC).
Questions have been raised regarding Senator John-Bates’ actions in relation to the examination of evidence which was expected to come before the Committee earlier this week. This comes after allegations that she assisted former Minister of Health Terrance Deyalsingh in reviewing and editing his witness statement ahead of his appearance.
Political Scientist Dr. Maukesh Basdeo outlined the position against Senator John-Bates.
“She is a member of the Committee, and the evidence that is in the hands of the Chair and other members of the committee is that she aided and she was part of a process of reviewing an evidence statement to be submitted by persons to appear before the Committee.”
Dr. Basdeo said the matter has brought both ethical concerns and questions about parliamentary rules into focus.
“That has brought into contention whether there were breaches in the Standing Orders of the Parliament, whether it is quite clear that it is unethical. But the question now is whether there were specific Standing Orders of the Parliament that were breached. Now this Committee is a Joint Select Committee, where it comprises both members of the House of Representatives and the Senate.”
