Yuh see me and ParlView.. thos trolls and UNC Cult followers in there is why we used to use the ParlView feed to stream the House and Senate (and even JSC sessions) on BounXup Youtube Channel - we streamed it for YEARS first on my Pt Cumana Sharon/Calabash Alley Channel and continued to do so when we changed the Name to BounXup.

We streamed it on our wn channel so that the rest of us could have a place to have meaningful discussions about what was going on inour Parliament withut the racist, sychophantic trolls.

But a few months ago after UNC Came into power, while we were streaming the House Session duringone of Bluto's presentation there was a troll in the chat and we were giving them hell .. a few minutes later the ParlView Admin came on our chat to tell us not to use their feed (I think the troll went and reported us).

Mind you before I started streaming them (around the time of the Pandemic) I called the ParlView Communications department and asked if it was OK and they said yes.

But Now it not OK all of a sudden..? When i wrote to them they sai we cn only stream "certain things" - Like the Opening of the Parliament for example

I noticed yesterday for the Budget Presentation TTT and Tobago Updates were streaming it - so maybe streaming the Budget is allowed.

Anyway Long Story Short... we no longer stream it to Youtube (to not conflict with their stream) but we sometimes stream it right here on BounXup Livestream page where folks can watch it and chat same way as on Youtube...

OR we just drop the youtube video link INSIDE the chat and folks can watch it from in there!

RIP Mighty Sparrow (9 Jul 1935 - 27 Sep 2026).

Legendary #Trinbagonian #calypso and #soca vocalist, songwriter, and guitarist born Slinger Francisco, in Grand Roy, Grenada.

Widely regarded as the most influential figure in the history of calypso music. Though born in Grenada, he was raised from infancy in Port-of-Spain, #Trinidad, after his family relocated there in 1937, and it is with Trinidad and Tobago that he is most closely identified.

Sparrow's breakthrough came in 1956, when his composition "Jean and Dinah", a commentary on the withdrawal of American servicemen from Trinidad after World War II, won him the National Calypso King title and reshaped the art form's lyrical ambitions.

Over a career spanning more than seven decades, he has won Trinidad's Calypso Monarch title eight times and the Carnival Road March competition eight times, records that established him as, in his own popularized phrase, the "Calypso King of the World."

Beyond his competitive dominance, Sparrow's significance lies in his fusion of biting social and political satire with melodic accessibility, tackling colonialism, race, sexuality, and #Caribbean identity in songs such as "Slave," "Education," and "Congo Man."

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Trinidad and Tobago’s Calypso icon, Slinger Francisco, known to the world as “The Mighty Sparrow”. He was 91 years old.

He was an institution in the entertainment industry, well admired for his skill and finesse as a singer, songwriter and mentor; beloved by many. He was also a husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, life partner and friend.

He died peacefully surrounded by family on September 27, 2026 where he succumbed from a brief illness in New York. And although we are extremely saddened by his passing, we are comforted to know that before his transition, he was able to make his election sure by giving his heart to the Most High, Jesus Christ where he was baptized in the Seventh Day Adventist faith.

As we prepare for a proper gathering to celebrate his life, we encourage his friends and fans to pay tribute on social media by tagging @therealmightysparrow.

We thank everyone for their well wishes and for allowing the family to grieve privately at this most difficult time.

A Prime Minister Divorced from History

The Prime Minister has delivered two Independence 2026 addresses, and I take this opportunity to condemn both as insensitive, divorced from reality, and devoid of any distinction between party politics and the responsibilities of national leadership.

On the occasion of our 64th Independence anniversary, the Prime Minister chose to address the UNC before addressing the nation, using a moment that belongs to all citizens to promote a partisan narrative of grievance and division. That is not the conduct of a Prime Minister seeking to unite a country.

I also reject the Prime Minister's attempt to rewrite the history of our nation. Trinidad and Tobago’s journey to Independence, and our development thereafter, cannot be reduced to a politically convenient version of history that serves whichever audience she is addressing.

The Prime Minister is wrong to present our colonial inheritance without acknowledging the profound inequalities and social conditions that existed at Independence. Equally, she is wrong to recast our post-Independence history as a partisan struggle between victims and villains.

Our history is more substantial than that, and our nation deserves better.

It is therefore no surprise that a Prime Minister who appears unwilling to properly acknowledge the historical place of Dr. Eric Williams as the first Prime Minister of Trinidad and Tobago would now offer such a distorted account of the history of our Independence.

A Prime Minister who cannot speak honestly about our history cannot credibly lead the nation forward.
