I agree they are on a path to sell off all the country's government owned resources lock stock and barrel - they have been on that "privatization" train for donkey years now.
Why the deliberate, designed incompetence you may ask...? national resources broken down to barely functioning entities that need "rescuing" means it's easier to sell them off to private entities in a "firesale" and guess WHOMST will be front and center to cash in... them and their cohorts

Kamla: Govt to sell National Quarries, LABIDCO, Hilton and Magdalena
Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar has announced plans for the Government to divest several state-owned assets, including National Quarries Limited, Hilton Trinidad Hilton, the Magdalena Grand Beach and Golf Resort and the La Brea Industrial Development Company Ltd (LABIDCO).
The Prime Minister also signalled plans to divest other state-owned entities, including National Quarries.
"Government running National Quarries to the ground. They prepare aggregate. It costs them $350 and then they sell it for $150. That's making any sense?" she said.
Persad-Bissessar further suggested that investors consider acquiring LABIDCO as part of the Government's divestment drive.
"Any person interested, we want to divest LABIDCO. Talk to your friends and families. A government cannot succeed by spending all the money, creating businesses, creating entities and dust to bust," she said.
This is just the initial shot across the bow, there will be more to come.
and I wonder what the Opposition is going to do about this?
I know the Doc had to retire and spend his golden years with his family.. but I wish he hadn't left us; thing is he can't even retire in peace because this creature we have posing as Prime Minister while her minions like Kirk and Barry run the country by Proxy need to get checked constantly, and the person responsible for pushing back just rolling over or just engaging in performative self-image building B.S. Activities.
